How to Increase Your Will Power for Weight Loss

Losing weight is never easy and it will take a ton more than just willpower to do it. Stats assert that 90% of people that go on diets end up putting back more weight than they lost to begin with. Neuroscientists have said that as much as 70-80% of our day by day actions are under the control of our subconscious rather than our conscious minds. So if you are only trying to attack the weight reduction thru conscious will power alone you may lose.
Here is a technique to do it by trying your subconscious.

Avoid enticement.

The first thing is to avoid temptation. It sounds like common sense, but like Mark Twain said it ain't so common. If you want to cut down on alcohol then do not go to a bar. If you want to reduce your weight, do not have fatty foods then do not have fatty foods in the house.

Substitute enticements with other things. If you don't want to eat cake then eat some carrots. If you do not wish to drink alcohol drink a glass of your favorite juice or soda.

Visualize what you do not want

Using the principals of pain and pleasure you would like to create an image in your head of what you don't want. Because the general public will go to bigger lengths to avoid pain than to seek pleasure. So if you want to stop eating, or drinking, then imagine how deleterious an effect it will have on your life in 5 or ten years if you are unable to change. Truly get a vivid picture of how bad things will be. Make a clear and distressing picture. Do this everyday.

Visualize what you want

Whatever it is that you need imagine the result that you'll get and how good it will make you feel. Imagine how it will impact on your life and how different things will be. Do this for five mins every day.

Relax.

Willpower is low when you're stressed. Close your eyes and take three deep breaths.

Energize yourself

Willpower tends to go up or down with energy levels. Make sure to get tons of rest and exercise.

Use Hypnosis

Improve your self-talk with hypnosis. How we think about and talk to ourselves is more vital than what people say to us. But infrequently we will be incredibly mean to ourselves. If you'd like to get rid of your fury employ a positive affirmation. Something similar to "I am a powerful adaptable person who is in charge of their life."
